Different Paths, Same Goal, As RadCAM & Mass Join Forces

RADAN’s Indian reseller, RadCAM, have formed a business partnership with machinery manufacturer Mass Cutting Systems.

Mass, who are based in Pune, will supply the world’s most powerful sheet metal CAD/CAM software, RADAN, with their medium to high end plasma cutting machines immediately, and from 2014 will also be including RADAN with their lasers.

RadCAM Managing Director Siddhu Jolad says the Indian sheet metal industry has gone through a difficult phase, but there is now a “paradigm shift” as more world class automotive and aerospace companies move into the country. “The volume and complexity of work will grow significantly as these sectors expand. This partnership means manufacturers get a world class solution, through a sturdy CNC machine programmed by RADAN.”

He says Mass Cutting Systems and RADAN have a similar history. “Both companies started in August 2010 with the aim of providing excellence to the Indian sheet metal industry.”

As a start-up company, Mass originally provided CNC machines to SMEs, moving on to the medium and large companies it works with today across a range of industry sectors including boiler manufacturers, construction equipment, agriculture and dairy. Amongst its big-name customers: Line O Matic Graphics Industries, Technocraft Industries (India) Ltd., PRD Rigs, and Paranthaman Exporters.

And RadCAM has evolved into a one-stop provider for metal cutting companies ranging from small, through medium-sized operations, to large corporates. Says Siddhu Jolad: “RADAN software for sheet metal design, development and CAM, along with our business and technology consultancy, product engineering and application and maintenance services plays an essential role in helping manufacturers become faster and more efficient.

“Both RadCAM and Mass have grown significantly in a short time and are now amongst the best in their field, achieving the same goal from different paths. It’s destiny that we should come together and have become business partners helping the Indian sheet metal to grow and flourish.”

RadCAM are developing the required post processor to translate the CAM instructions for the Mass plasma CNC machines. Mass will provide frontline RADAN training and support to their end-user customers.

Mass machines are extremely popular in Pune, and are now expanding throughout India, with plans for possible export.
