RADAN 2017, by Vero Software, Makes U.S Debut Nov. 16-18 at FABTECH 2016, in Las Vegas, Nev.
RADAN 2017, the latest release of the powerful sheet-metal solution by Vero Software, will make its U.S. debut Nov. 16-18 at FABTECH 2016, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Considered North America’s largest metal-forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event, FABTECH is a one-stop shop for the latest industry products and developments, including tools for improving productivity and increasing profits. An annual event. FABTECH is expected to attract more than 28,000 and over 1,300 exhibiting companies.
Visitors to FABTECH are encouraged to visit the RADAN booth, No. #C24081, where demonstrations of the latest upgrades within RADAN 2017 will take place. Back by popular demand, RADIC, the interactive robot designed and manufactured with RADAN, will be on hand to help the RADAN staff highlight the software’s latest productivity enhancing features.
This latest release, which includes upgrades that quickly add up to improved efficiency, reflects Vero’s long-range plan to restructure how customers use the software.
“We are on the verge of reorganizing how manufacturers will be using RADAN in the future, and important updates to Radmanager in the new edition are the first steps towards this,” said Product Manager Olaf Körner. “Developers are working on separating RADAN into two distinct aspects: traditionally creating NC code to drive CNC machines, and the engineering of parts.”
In RADAN 2017, Radmanager’s ability to manage both 2D and 3D engineering of parts is the precursor to the entirely new upcoming engineering system for any type of parts, including 5-axis laser-cut sheet metal, tubes, flat, and bent parts. This 3D engineering of parts is becoming increasingly important. It will enable manufacturers to break assemblies down from CAD systems and into their parts to fully understand everything about them.
“Developing RADAN to engineer and fully analyze parts in this way is the biggest step forward we’ve ever taken,” Körner said. “The future is very exciting, as the level of automation we’ll be able to achieve is phenomenal.”
