Radic To Start Globetrotting At Mazak Open House

Radic – the popular little robot created by RADAN, the world’s most powerful sheetmetal CAD/CAM software – starts globetrotting at an Open House event hosted by Mazak on March 7 and 8.

The event coincides with the first two days of the Intec trade fair at Leipzig in Germany, and delegates will be taken to Intec following a breakfast meeting and morning session at the Open House. RADAN will be the main focus, with the software’s German reseller 3D Concepts, presenting several aspects of it.

These include how RADAN interacts with ERP, CRM and MRP, which 3D Concepts Sales Director Thomas Menholz says is vital for creating the “smart and digital factory” Industrie 4.0 solutions.

And the Radic robot will be manufactured “live” on a Mazak Optiplex Nexus 3015 Fiber laser cutter, demonstrating the machine tool’s capabilities. Each delegate will receive a Radic flat to fold at their own factories. Customers are then being asked to take photographs of the robot around the world, and post them on social media.

Mazak will have a total of 14 CNC mills, lathes and lasers in full operation at the Open House and Intec.

Thomas Menholz says: “Radic was created to celebrate RADAN’s 40th anniversary, and we’re pleased to work with the robot to celebrate 3D Concepts’ 20 years in business.”
